The W Series cameras are waterproof to 12m without a waterproof case. A waterproof case is required for filming at depths greater than 12m.
The remote controls of the W Series cameras are waterproof to a depth of 2m.
The X Series cameras are not waterproof without a waterproof case - it must be used whenever the camera is used in water. X-Series camera remotes are not waterproof.
