The frame rate is the frequency that indicates how many still pictures are per 1 second of recording, and is usually given in frames per second. The classic TV picture has 25 FPS for the European PAL standard and 30 FPS for the NTSC standard. For action cameras which are often shot at a higher frame rate, you can reduce the video speed which allows the capture of faster motion. In contrast, higher frame rates are more demanding in terms of memory, playback and editing.
