Video codec relates to the sequencing of images; a computer program or hardware device that encodes and decodes a video to or from a particular format. This usually reduces the amount of data contained. The video stream is then stored in a so-called multimedia container that allows you to combine various multimedia streams (audio, video, subtitles) in one file.

The H.264 codec is the official version of the original MPEG-4 ASP (Advanced Simple Profile), and is often called MPEG-4 AVC (Advanced Video Coding).

This codec is now officially used for example on Blu-ray discs, and has also been successfully incorporated in digital TV broadcasting, as well as on YouTube, iTunes, and so forth.

It is compatible with the latest mobile operating systems, as well as, on practically all other platforms (tablets, smartphones, etc.).
